I cannot take all the credit as it would not have been possible without the help of my faithful partner over the years who was taken from us at such an early age. Linda kept us fed and watered, did the shopping, managed the budget, and ran taxi. Enjoyed the visit to Yellowknife and Whitehorse which I would never have done otherwise. It has been an incredible journey for one who has trouble with a 6 foot ladder. Much appreciated and so proud of our boys and their spouses.

Beautiful memories!
ReplyDeleteYou are one special brother, & how did I luck in to be born into this crazy family. Linda was a friend from grade 4 when we first went to school in Sutton. I am so proud what you & Linda accomplished. Your sons have chosen well & the legacy will continue for generations. Love Hazel
ReplyDeleteBertie - you have done well all these years without Linda. Lois and I roomed with Linda and Karen Liebrecht when we went on our first school trip. She was a good friend even before you came on the scene. Only the good go young and she had made a wonderful plan for her boys and knew they would do well under your tutelage. It doesn't seem possible Linda has been gone 33 years. You are a grand big brother even if you were such a pest and tormented me unmercifully. We have all got a few years left and as you said "time takes care of everything" so prepare yourself when you come to the coast again. I talked to Marily Wilkins today and she asked to be remembered to you and laughed again about the "Baglady" treat we gave you. I don't have any pictures of that event so if you have any prints - could you send them along. Luv yah - Lane and Don
